The possibility of seeing two girls yank each others hair out on live television or participate in a cat fight is better than watching two cats actually fight--and is actually worth the senseless brain cells murdered from the wasteland that is reality television.
But let's stop all the politically correct crap and get to the point: why are chicks such haters?
No, really, please put your answers in the comments section 'cause I'm seriously asking. And before everyone gets up in arms about how anti-feminist I am or how the media loves to put us out there packaged nicely in hourly-slotted stereotypes, generalized for the world to see, please know that I am a black woman. I also watch said shows. So, I guess I'm not really a part of the solution, but I can't help myself and apparently neither can the millions of viewers who dutifully watch and later lend attention to any gossip pertaining to the show's "stars."
Perhaps it's the inner b**** that lies in every woman. The catty ability to snip and snide each other, from spreading gossip to stealing boyfriends. From eyeing unflattering outfits to calling out tacky tumbleweaves, we are the first to offer our very opinionated points of view. Maybe it's the result of years of fighting for our right to party in a society full of guest-list-only venues.
But women hate taking responsibility for their extra-hater activities, so instead of blaming us, I think we should blame chronic angry women like NeNe Leakes and Star Jones for ruining everything. They've taken hateration to such another level that even Donald Trump has decided to cash in and put them both on the next installment of 'Celebrity Apprentice'. The gossip rags and entertainment news shows have puffed up their beef to epic standards. Obama might even do a wine summit. It's bad, real bad.
Or maybe we just hate ourselves.
Yep, I said it. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but most stereotypes have bits of truth in them. The hand waving, neck twisting, eye rolling, attitude-having black woman we find personified on such lovely gems like 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' stem reality. For whatever reason, we are really darn angry.
But the thing about being a black woman is... we're just so dope. I'm serious. We're warm shades of butterscotch and dark chocolate truffles. We come in petite and voluptuous sizes (and our men love it). We are rhythmed nations, gyrating in magical ways (hello, we invented the booty clap). We're smart as whips, funny as hell, and have single handedly carried the world on our shoulders for centuries.
So, yes, maybe we have a few gripes here and there, but the rest? It's all just nonsense crowding everyone's view, casting our own negative spotlight on our race and gender, yanking us back, reminding others that we're just crabs in a barrel.
So, in the words of another great reality television black chick, Babs (Season 2 of 'Making the Band'), "Let em fight!" Go on and let NeNe and Star battle it out. Gobble some popcorn as Omarosa and Wendy Williams gouge each other's eyes out. Go for it. But don't try to call yourself anything different, cause you're just like 'em and you do it too.
As a matter of fact, many of you are loading up your guns, preparing your ammo for the comments section, but it's okay. After all, I'm a black girl. I love beef, haters.

We live in a pitiful society.Not just Black women, but the entire USA is a mess when it comes to morals,honesty and justice. Now I will identify w/ Black women,because I am a 60 year old Black woman. Over a century or more ago.White America ***** up our minds.Not excusing the stupidity I see us doing today,but we are totally insecure. From the richest to the poorest we are insecure. The rich is worrying about somebody taking theirs. The poor is worrying about not having theirs. So thus we have a bunch of fools, fighting to keep and fighting to have, by any means necessary.

Yes there are some true hating blk women out there..but there are some who love their sisters and themselves..the public feuds are to make money..But as long as we continue to buy into ALL BLK WOMEN HATE EACH OTHER BS..the the system that was set up to keep us divided will still win..so wouldn't it be nice...if we for once could see a show where sisters are supportive..Personally I don't watch the haterdum shows..Just not for me..need some positive action in my life..

Haters? Well, that's just the way that the majority of BW are! They don't have to watch "reality programs" to be that way because that's the way that they're raised by their mothers, and they're also emulating their aunts, and grandmothers as well! However, the primary rationale..if you care to call it that is that BW in reality BW only "hate themselves!" That's an all too well known fact! That's also clear in both their behaviors, and attitudes! And also why they (BW) are continuing to break their butts to attempt to look like white women or as non-black as possible, because they already know that they can't measure up to the standards of non-black women! They love being on their usual "bully pulpit" , being confrontational, rude, loud, know it all's , and ignorant because that's their pathetic way of getting attention! The majority of BW have ....again their usual low self esteems and still haven't got a real clue as to how to take care of themselves, and will do just about anything to gain attention to their aberrant behavior, and negative attitudes. At, the end of the day, "who really cares?" That's exactly why no intelligent man of any race wants to be with Black women...period!

Greg, the reason you are here on this site is because a black woman has put you down, kicked you to the curb and just wanted no parts of you. Black women don't need you or anyone else to validate them. Black women has been the backbone of the black race and the the strength behind white women. It was black women who raised white kids. It was black women who the white man raped because he would rather have sex with a black woman, than with his own women.
Why would a black woman try to look like a white woman when white women are surgically implanting lips, butt, cheekbones, curlyeyelashes, getting face lifts just to be in the running with black women. Black women has all the natural things that the white woman is paying to implant into her body. Dangerously copying the sistahs. The side effects from all those surgeries will one day come back and bite the sh*t out of them. So what if a black woman chooses to wear a wig. She can remove a wig daily. Can the white woman daily remove those lips, butt or any of the other features that she had surgically done? NOT.. Why does she feel the need to look like a sistah if she is suppose to be the picture of beauty? A wig compared to all that surgery is nothing. Yet you have the nerves to think that black women want to look like a white woman. A white woman's body could NEVER compare to the sistahs. By the time a white woman is 30 years old she already have crowsfeet in her face. You people are inferior to black people so you try everything you can to belittle us,.....Yet we rise.

And as a black woman, as much as I absolutely HATE to say it, but you're absolutely right about this. Even the black women who are the exception to the rule (ie: attractive, positive attitude, education, etc) dont stand a chance. That slew of other black women totally outweigh the portion of "good" ones. And reality tv just sheds more light on it which magnifies it times 10.

The problem is that hate hers think there's only room in the sky for one shining star and of course it belongs to them. To them one word of advice, take your eyes off yourself, girlfriend, just long enough to look up and you'll see the sky is full of stars. They illuminate the darkness and make the night beautiful. Get with the program. As wonderful as you think you are you don't have that kind of wattage.

These kind of articles and the usual comments that ensue REALLY bother me because it shows just how messed we are. It saddens me that Black men have a hatred of BW, BW have a hatred of Black men and it's all based on stereotypes that are fed to us by the media, or some hurt that has been inflicted. What you see in the media is usually a small piece of the whole pie and is not the absolute truth of who we are as a people. All of these sweeping generalizations, and believing it to be true is killing us.

And that's all there is to it. (SOME) black women just can't accept the fact that there's more than one star. Period. Some black women just can't deal with the fact that there will always be another woman that looks better, is doing better, is smarter, makes more money or has a man and she does not. It all boils down to men tho. Women will rip each other new pussy holes for a man. Any woman who gets all the men, or LOOKS like she can get all the men if she wanted to, will be the enemy target no matter how nice she is.
