The possibility of seeing two girls yank each others hair out on live television or participate in a cat fight is better than watching two cats actually fight--and is actually worth the senseless brain cells murdered from the wasteland that is reality television.
But let's stop all the politically correct crap and get to the point: why are chicks such haters?
No, really, please put your answers in the comments section 'cause I'm seriously asking. And before everyone gets up in arms about how anti-feminist I am or how the media loves to put us out there packaged nicely in hourly-slotted stereotypes, generalized for the world to see, please know that I am a black woman. I also watch said shows. So, I guess I'm not really a part of the solution, but I can't help myself and apparently neither can the millions of viewers who dutifully watch and later lend attention to any gossip pertaining to the show's "stars."
Perhaps it's the inner b**** that lies in every woman. The catty ability to snip and snide each other, from spreading gossip to stealing boyfriends. From eyeing unflattering outfits to calling out tacky tumbleweaves, we are the first to offer our very opinionated points of view. Maybe it's the result of years of fighting for our right to party in a society full of guest-list-only venues.
But women hate taking responsibility for their extra-hater activities, so instead of blaming us, I think we should blame chronic angry women like NeNe Leakes and Star Jones for ruining everything. They've taken hateration to such another level that even Donald Trump has decided to cash in and put them both on the next installment of 'Celebrity Apprentice'. The gossip rags and entertainment news shows have puffed up their beef to epic standards. Obama might even do a wine summit. It's bad, real bad.

Or maybe we just hate ourselves.
Yep, I said it. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but most stereotypes have bits of truth in them. The hand waving, neck twisting, eye rolling, attitude-having black woman we find personified on such lovely gems like 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' stem reality. For whatever reason, we are really darn angry.
But the thing about being a black woman is... we're just so dope. I'm serious. We're warm shades of butterscotch and dark chocolate truffles. We come in petite and voluptuous sizes (and our men love it). We are rhythmed nations, gyrating in magical ways (hello, we invented the booty clap). We're smart as whips, funny as hell, and have single handedly carried the world on our shoulders for centuries.
So, yes, maybe we have a few gripes here and there, but the rest? It's all just nonsense crowding everyone's view, casting our own negative spotlight on our race and gender, yanking us back, reminding others that we're just crabs in a barrel.
So, in the words of another great reality television black chick, Babs (Season 2 of 'Making the Band'), "Let em fight!" Go on and let NeNe and Star battle it out. Gobble some popcorn as Omarosa and Wendy Williams gouge each other's eyes out. Go for it. But don't try to call yourself anything different, cause you're just like 'em and you do it too.
As a matter of fact, many of you are loading up your guns, preparing your ammo for the comments section, but it's okay. After all, I'm a black girl. I love beef, haters.

Poor excuses!!I would bet my last dollar that not only are you not in a healthy hetrosexual realationship, you have either never had one or its been so long ago that you need to attempt to rationalize your inability to get along with a man in the manner you adressed this issue.

Because when a Brutha opens a business in his community, the sistas still want to shop an Macy's, JCPenny's at the mall , after they complain about his prices for the same item.
The "I'm Royalty, Kiss My Feet" attitude sistas exhibit toward brothas when A brotha is the owner of a business refuses to be disrepected and immasculated by her and all important "ghetto clique associates" will be disreected by and still give their money to a non AfricanAmerican store, and cause him to close down and get a job to pay back the debt of opening a business in the community.

I pray that men learn to hate like NeNe or most women, just blowing off steam and going on about her business, keeping their jobs, getting paid and raising their families. Image if they followed NeNe's example there would be no need for "Too Young To Die" where photo journalist, Carlos Javier Ortiz, to tell the stories of real haters with only one response to confrontation. If men hated like women these stories would not exist. "I went to a Chicago public high school. There were kids that didn't come back from summer. There were literally kids I sat next to who spent the rest of their lives in jail for murder." Imagine where they would be if their response was like NeNe's.
Pray with me for the day men hate like women and pass it on to their children to prevent their early deaths or spending the rest of their lives in prison and the elimination of collective insanity that describes women as haters for being able to confront a situation without killing anyone.

I'm sorry but while I get the point you're TRYING to make, let's get one thing straight- black women DO kill out of hate. They kill their innocent babies when they find out they're pregnant from some dude who doesnt want to be with them and they HATE him for it. They run to the slaughterhouse/abortion clinic to kill their unborn child when they think about how they've carelessly become impregnated by some man who they dont even know and probably will never have a future with and they HATE themselves for it. And let's not forget that though it's not widely discussed, there are several cases nationwide where women (esp black ones) have murdered othered women over a man or infidelity. Dont believe me? Watch "Snapped" or WEtv more often. Men are not the only culprits here. The moral to the story is that HATE KILLS, and it can cause any member of any gender to kill with it. You're missing the point.

I can honestly say I am not a hater. Or to use an old fashioned word:jealous of any one. I have no reason to be. Like I always say, you don't know what that person had to do to get where they are, and you don't know what they have to do to keep that way of life. These so-called "catfights" or "dust-ups", or whatever they're called, seems to make for interesting viewing. And they usually stem from some sort of misunderstanding and lies, and they just take on a life of their own. I say take six months of minding your own business, and six months of leaving everybody elses' alone. You'll be better off in the long run.

No one stole anything from Lil kim, her time has come & gone...Deal with it & stop pointing fingers at people who have nothing to do with your demise from popularity.

Yes, this was an excellent article, for the most part. But, I have to disagree with the comment "it's the inner b**** that lies in every woman". Not every woman has a female dog in her, and I certainly do not. My parents taught me and my sisters to never say the word b****, never to allow someone to call us a b****, and never to act like a b****. Education was extremely important in our family, and we were taught the more you know, the better you will behave. Everyone who knows my sisters and I, always say that we all consistently act like ladies, and never disrespect anyone. So I suggest that, if the reality television women were taught well, they would do well.
