With the news of
Eva Longoria and
Tony Parker's divorce heating up the tabloids (even though their actual marriage was about as interesting as a can of Tab), rumor has it that the baller cheated on his wife with the wife of one of his teammates. Now, that's putting the 'T" in "trifling" right there, you won't hear me contesting that. However, I do take issue with the fact the chorus of men who are moaning about the infidelity of the team player's wife, as if it's somehow worse because she's a woman.
Does the fact that this to-be-named woman cheated on her husband with his colleague make it a more bitter pill to swallow? Oh, absolutely. But to act as if a woman's infidelity is somehow worse because of her gender? I can't. Here are a few things I submit for consideration when it comes to this whole cheating thing.

Ladies, you want a relationship that lasts? Marry a mature and average looking man with a good job. Stop trapping these 20 something pretty boys (they have attention spans like 5 year olds.) Start looking at the over thirty-five crowd. They are still young enough to want children, they often have successful careers, and they have had their fun. There is a reason why men should sow their "wild oats" before they get married. If you want a young "pretty" man, then be prepared that there are lots of other women who want him too, and he is not mature enough to resist them.
Men are sexually weak. Pastors, priests, Christian, Jew, Muslim, they are all led around by their little heads. They do not develop some real control over "themselves" until they are well into their thirties, IF EVER.

I read right here on the Black Voices homepage that it was rumored that Tony Parker filed for divorce ...because he now wanted a baby and Eva has yet to produce.I just wish that I was a fly on the wall....to really know each side.

"Eclectic Thinker" that's pure BS. All men do not cheat in marraiges. However, some womem push a man from their arms and bed. Men like Tony Parker and Eva Longoria should not have gotten married, they both were too much into themselves.

FIRSTLY, your language is out of order. SECONDLY, if you were to go back and read my comments, I did NOT say that ALL men cheat on their spouses. I stated that the MAJORITY of married men will cheat on their spouses at some point in their marriage and, if you were to consult the scientific research on INFIDELITY IN MARRIAGE, you will discover that the scientific research buttresses my contention.
THIRDLY, please be advised that NO woman pushes a man from her arms and out of her bed into a CHEATING relationship. There are MANY alternatives to dealing with a marriage that needs to be strengthened...if at all possible...but CHEATING is NOT one of them. And, if the marriage is unsalvageable, then perhaps divorce is in order but NEVER CHEATING!!!!
