But at least Jesse Jackson, in full firebrand form, came to the defense of Lebron and unleashed himself on Captain Dumbass, Cavs owner Dan Gilbert. LeChad, on the other hand, has yet to have a 1980's icon come to his defense after drawing the ire of black women for not casting more of them on his new VH-1 elimination dating show, 'Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch.' The comical irony is if LeChad was a white man, Whoopi Goldberg would have come to his rescue by now – example one and two. Then again, if Chad was white, I guess black women wouldn't be pissed. To the contrary, the editors at Essence would present him as eye candy for their bi-monthly story affirming black women and their decisions to date white men. But LeChad is a black man. And I think I may have said it before – black women are pissed. Well, at least some black women are (see: Wendy Williams). Others have gotten over the syndrome of reacting to this notion that black men everywhere are brushing them aside like mangy mutts. It's simply not the case.

Just stroll down your cable corridor and you'll find another dating show on TV One featuring the ball-busting Omarosa and her cast of black men, of all complexions and careers, pining for her attention. What does this show say about the true interests and intentions of black men? Actually, it doesn't tell us anything. Just as LeChad's show doesn't tell us anything either. All of these dating shows feed our voracious appetites for crap and, ironically, are the furthest thing from "reality".
Nonetheless, it is curious that LeChad doesn't have more black women on his show, and it certainly warrants questions -- but not a full broadside attack. It's really not that important. We're talking about a reality show starring a professional football player who changed his last name to "Ochocinco". Let me change my name to "Mason Unocuatro" and tell me how serious you are going to take me.
It's interesting, but I've yet to hear any chirping from black men about Halle Berry,Sanaa Lathan, Aisha, Tyler, Stacy Dash, Zoe Saldana, Naomi Campbell, Kim Wayans, Paula Patton, Venus Williams, Kerry Washington, Thandie Newton, Tyra Banks, Diana Ross, Shari Belafonte, Alice Walker, Kelly Rowland, Alfre Woodward and Garcelle Beauvais (to name a few) that have all dated and/or married white men. It's a non-issue for us. The sky isn't falling. Yes , I know, I know. We're not concerned because supposedly big-chested blondes and brunettes are lined up waiting to have group sex with us and cater to our every whim. That's not even remotely true. If I said we wish that was true would that satisfy your suspicions?
Look, can't we all just move along? Well, I mean right after open season is declared on me in the comments section. That is what happens next right? But that's what I get for smacking the hornets nest with my bare hands. It's cool; Black Voices actually pays me just enough to stand in front of the firing squad (every now and then). In the words of 'The Wire's' Stinger Bell, "let's get on with it (expletive)!" Until next time.

Well, I don't know why black women like yourself are all that upset when you're being bombarded by black men! Black women have been doing the very same, nay excuse me you've been going "way" overboard for years now! It's pretty common to see BW beating down black men for just about everything since sliced bread with yourself always playing the victim. Who hasn't seen ignorant black women on shows like Maury Jerry,Tara Banks, and please let's not forget Oprah talking all tha trash about BM, Hell, that's all Black ever do! I've never saw a BM on national TV trashing BM like BW usually do! And, BW have been doing that for years now! So, now why are BW like you getting all in a tizzy about someone dishing you just like you have been dishing them? That's nothing but the same tired ass black women's "double standards" BS! But, now the whole world is aware of that ignorant BW nonsense. That's exactly why the majority of BW are alone, not married, 70% are single with OOW babies (of course), nor have any prospects for marriage. Most men even non-black men consider BW to be undesirable as a partner, that's also a fact! Only 30% of BW are married in the US today...and why do you think that it? It's certainly not that same old lie that most BW say about them not wanting to get married, in reality it's that "no one wants you"! Except for the "usual suspects" like the felons, drug dealers, gang bangers, pimps, and those other no accounts that you continue to have OOW babies with! Let's, also be honest here, most of you aren't even attractive anyway! Most are overweight, and just don't take care of yourselves! And try to look like White women, but can't! But, even you already know those facts!
Let me share some facts with you about black women and STD's!
Black women have the highest numbers for STD's, and HIV/AIDS more then any other race of women in the US today that's according to the CDC. The numbers are simply staggering! With black women leading all other races with Syphilis, Herpes, Gonorrhea, and Clymidia. A jaw-dropping 48 percent of black women between ages 14 and 49 have the virus which causes genital herpes. And, BW are also the "highest risk" group, and continue to be the highest risk group in the US regarding HIV/AIDS! With 66% of all reported aids cases for women of all races! Two out of every three cases is an African American woman. They also have more reported cases for HIV/AIDS..."period' for both genders as well. Black women are "BAD NEWS". So, please someone tell me why would any man be he black or white want to be with a black women? Black women can always go around dishing it out, but try addressing the real facts!

Your ignorance is evident in your inability to spell and articulate yourself in a grammatically-correct manner. You should definitely consider taking some basic English courses soon. At this time, you're in NO position to belittle anyone. Were you an educated, self-confident individual, you wouldn't be spewing such hate-filled nonsense, while simultaneously showing the world how "little" you truly are. As an African-American woman, I found your "ignorance" to be laughable at best! I must be going now. It's time for my 2nd dose of pubic lice medication!!! ROFL!!!!!

I think Black women should no longer give a darn about the likes of Ocho Cinco & T.O. or their women.Or any other black man that rises in fame or finances and suddenly refuse to date black women. These type of men are in their own world & I can't imagine black women wanting to be with them at this point. We should not be concern with these guys. If people clearly show that the are not interested in their own kind at all that's a serious identity problem.. I can't stand the burden being on black women to explain how we feel about it. How do white men feel about their women flocking to black athletes & being exploited by these black guys on national TV? That should be the question. I would hope that black women not even try out for the riduculous show formats. Let the white women go for it. We(black women) should open our horizons and considered dating other men besides black men, but clearly any individual that is not open too dating or attracted to anyone in there own race and exclusively dates outside their race has a problem within.

You know what? I'm not going to blaze you or the "Cinco' because my guess is that if he weren't making all that money he would have had a whole different line~up. On the other hand, I feel that he should be able to date whom ever he chooses.
He contradicted himself throughout the show by telling Ruby, "You don't think your going to make it on your looks do you?”, but at the end she was still there and he had the actual gall to look into the camera say,” look at her do you think I was going to choose!" reality TV at it's best so don't take it personal it was just something to do while he was on his down time folks.
