"Of course it was Damien's idea to get married, but it was me that took him to Tiffany. He picked a ring, and I got on one knee and asked him to marry me." –Seanmichael
When it comes to black love, the traditional union of a man and a woman is the model to be revered. Yet, there is a segment of the black population whose love is rarely acknowledged within the broader community, but it exists nonetheless.
Seanmichael Rodgers and Damien Ramsey, a couple residing in New York City and engaged to be married this spring, is an example of the love that challenges "traditional" models.
Seanmichael and Damien have been in a committed relationship for three years. Their commitment will ultimately lead them down the aisle in March. Over the past three years, there have been several Valentine's Day memories with each one competing to top the last.
While Seanmichael's plan to celebrate the holiday with his future husband remains a secret, he did reveal that it includes "100 candles, 10 wishes, 10 promises, 10 memories and 10 reasons."
The couple make it a priority to celebrate their love throughout the year and not just on Valentine's Day. Their weekly date night on Tuesdays gives each an opportunity to escape the stress of work and focus on nurturing their relationship.Seanmichael is a producer and vocal coach, and Damien is a singer-songwriter known as Dy'Ari (pronounced diary).

"Will you marry me"? asked Seanmichael.
"Yes"! "A million times," replied Damien.

In spite of what society says, God's Word - His Standard still holds true. Marriage is a holy covenant between a man and a woman. Anything else is not of God.

Actually in the same passage that speaks on the abomination of a man and a man a few other abominations are mentioned. Ex. Eating shell fish and hooved animals. It also states that you are unlean after masturbation until you bathe in a river the following morning. So if you have such clear hatred for honosexuality due to a passage in the bible be sure to turndown the barbecue pork and crab next time you're asked. That was in the old testament when it was bad to do everything. Jesus cleared that up. So don't blame GOD for your judgemental bigotry...cause that's also a sin.

A toast to the harmless little flea!
You don't know the difference between he and she,
But he does, and so does she!

To Mr. Gillian, Jesus did not ban the Old Covenant He fulfilled it. (Colossians 2; 14 Galatians 3: 24 Galatians 4; 14) He gave the law so the Jews could live by until he came and gave his life on the cross. (Mathew 8: 19) Everyone who believes in God that died before Jesus did went to a place called Paradise or Abraham bosom it was not in heaven.(Luke 16: 22-31) It was a place near Hell were Satan held them in Captivity. He could not torment them though. But when Jesus died. (Mathew 27:52-53)He went and preaches to the captives in Abraham Bosom they accepted him and they got out of their grave and walked on the earth until they ascended to heaven. These were the believers in Abraham Bosom.
After Jesus died at the cross he cleaned all the animals that were unlawful to eat under the Law. God showed this to Peter in a vision. (Acts 10-16) Peter in a vision saw all the animals and God told Peter he could eat. He said what he had cleaned he could eat it. Also meaning now the Gentiles can be cleaned if they accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. God is still the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Homosexuality is a sin. God created Man and then Woman. Two men can not produce a child. Two women can not produce a child. God does not hate homosexuals. He hates the sin. Sin is disobedience to God.( sin came from Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the garden of Eve and gave Lucifer their authority on the earth) Homosexuality is abomination. It’s Satan trying to destroy the handy works of God.
In the New testament God tells the origin of homosexuality in the New Testament Roman 1: 24-28. It says because people failed to keep God in their knowledge he turned them over to a reprobate mind. Man began to lust after man and woman began to lust after woman It’s also in 1 Corinthians 6; 9-10) the words effeminate refers to Homosexuality. It is also in 1 Timothy 1-9-10. Homosexuality is a sin. Everyone now who is born on this earth because of Adam and Eve is born into Sin. But when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior he saves us from sin and from hell.

This is so very true ~ How anyone choose to live their lives is there choice. Therefore Jehovah gives us choices in how we are to live, conduct our lives. Only individuals that choose to live there lives, have the most personal, inner most personal relationship they must deal with on ther own with God. WE truly have no say say on such. Yet I understand and agree with you, according to God's word. Peace

Dear Special One,
Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's law. I
have learned a great deal from you, and I try to share that knowledge
with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend
homosexuality, for example, I will simply remind him or her that
Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of
debate.
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other
laws in Leviticus and Exodus and how to best follow them.
1.When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a
pleasing odor for the Lord (Leviticus 1:9). The problem is my
neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. How should I
deal with this?
2.I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as stated in Exodus
21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price
for her?
3.I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in
her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Leviticus 15:19-24). The
problem is, how can I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take
offense.
4.Leviticus 25:44 states that I may buy slaves from the nations that
are around us. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans,
but not Canadians. Can you clarify?
5.I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus
35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated
to kill him myself?
6.A friend of mine says that even though eating shellfish is an
abomination (Leviticus 10:10), it is a lesser abomination than
homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
7.Leviticus 20:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if
I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading
glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle
room here?

I commend BV for featuring this couple (Finally something different). As a Christian, I understand what the Bible says, but I also understand that I am in no position to judge or condemn their relationship. That is God's role and His role alone. This is an issue in our community, whether we want to address it or not.

reiterating God's standard is not being judgemental, the truth is just that the truth. I have relatives in the same lifestyle, so I'm the last to judge
