'CBS Evening News' anchor Katie Couric interviewed First Lady Michelle Obama for Glamour's "Women of the Year" issue. In addition to talking to about the importance of role models, mentoring and her biggest surprise as first lady, Obama also shares with Couric what women should look for in their mate and when to dump someone.
"Cute's good, but cute only lasts for so long," says Obama. "Don't look at the bank book or the title, but look at the heart, look at the soul," she counsels young women who are looking for a mate. In President Obama, the first lady said she saw something "special."
"When you're dating a man, you should always feel good," says Obama. And if you don't -- DON'T MARRY HIM!

ANYTHING Lady O's got to say i'm listening to--and not the least reason being all the seething Republicans, their Rush Limabugh racist buddies and porch monkeys trotted out at every turn on Fox News HAVE to, for a change!
like one of my grandfathers said upon capturing his former master during the Civil War, "Bottom rung's on top now!"
or, as the Temptations once put it (and i'm sure her husband, MY President, would agee), "The girl's alright with me!"

Her advice was wonderful. So many times as women we settle for less and God wants to give us more. Oh, her words are so true......I am so proud of the first family. Yes it is true the President has not solved a lot of the problems... But the problems did not happen over night...and....if he does not do another thing he has accomplished more than most of us every will. God bless the first family. God bless loving relationships.

Thanks Lady O! You're right on target! As a matter of fact,you hit the bull's eye. Before I met the man who's in my life right now, I always gauged my relationships by my deepest, inner core. If something didn't feel right or I didn't feel good bringing him around my family, then I knew it wouldn't last and I got out of it. Now when I'm with the love of my life, I feel free, I feel strong, I feel confident, I feel taller, and I feel like I can conquer the world! So You Go Girl!!!

I entirely agree with Mrs Obama's sentiments. She seems like a genuinely lovely, thoughtful lady. I hope all you ladies out there take note and heed her advice. Guys like that ARE the best and very special. As least that's what my mum says about me ;-)

Hi! First lady you are so fine and inteligent wonderful and gracious.I am wondering if you and the president would not be a parent of a baby Barack any time soon .It would be my greatest dream to come true in my life time.Jah Blees up Nuff Time.
