1. Let the party come to you: By "party," I am not referring to a corny male wearing a policeman's uniform modified with booty shorts and toting a circa-1989 boom box (but if that's your thing, I'm not knocking it). If you're looking for something a little less expected than a stripper, research nail technicians, hair stylists or makeup artists who might come to your house to beautify you and your friends before a night on the town. What about a Minx nails party? Several experts who specialize in applying these crazy-popular adhesive nail coverings make housecalls. Check MinxNails.com for more info.
2. Ditch the bars and clubs for a spa: The local hot club seems like an obvious choice, but chances are you've already been there. How about trying something new? Lots of spas offer group options and some, like Brooklyn's Body by Brooklyn Spa and Lounge, have actual lounge areas and offer refreshments. If you're in the area and are considering planning an event at Body by Brooklyn, try the chocolate massage. It's decadent and would be a delightful treat for you and your friends.3. Try a little continuing education: Learning never stops, guys. Social networking company Moxie in the City, which holds events in nine major cities from coast to coast, also offers fun (and definitely not for the conservative) private classes, like strip tease, pole dancing and an interesting array of very specific sex-ed classes. You and the rest of your party can buy out a whole class for your event. Don't worry, drinks are offered to loosen up some of your more reserved girlfriends.
4. Go on a close-to-home girls' getaway: Going on a trip doesn't necessarily mean you have to shell out for airfare. Research some of the offerings in your region. Are you driving distance from the beach? Casinos? Mountains? A lake? If so, check out some nice bed and breakfasts, vacation rentals or hotels where you and the ladies can stay for a nice, relaxing getaway that doesn't have to break the bank.

I like the spa idea... day before, rent a very nice suite, have a masseuse(probably two depending on the number of ladies), and have a nail tech come in to do manicures and pedicures.
Later that evening, throw a pajama party... complete with a small buffet of cheese and crackers, some fruits and veggies, and maybe an assortment of wings, or sandwiches and some wine or wine coolers or hell maybe even a bartender.
Complete with girl talk, or movies.
I have been married for 17 yrs now, and I didn't have a bachlorette party (so to speak), but I plan on having a bash when we renew our vows at the 20 yr mark!!
